This week's smiles...week 71

Here we are at the end of another week of fun and games. Lots of you joined in again last week....thanks so much to each and every one of you for making the effort to snap your smiles and sharing them with us....we can never have too many smiles can we?

I am featuring my much older sister Jo's post this week with her spring harvest picture....think we have all been there :-)....it certainly made me giggle.

My pics that have made me smile this week are of my 3 little Granddaughters trying on the flower girl dresses they will be wearing for our son Mark's wedding in August......

On the left, Phoebe and Lulu on the right :-)......looks like a shortening job for Nanny Annie is required a little nearer the time in case they have a growth spurt!

And.......

Little Lexi....hers needs shortening rather more as you can see :-)

And with the added giggle of little Sam in the background with his nappy hanging out of his trousers :-)  He's a typical little boy with no waist so every time he bends down to play he loses his trousers...even if he wears a belt!!

So that just a few of the things that have made me smile this week.  Please share your smiles by linking them below and I will pop over to to pay you a visit as soon as I'm able.  Thanks for joining in the fun.

Hugs,
Annie x

It's months and months  since I felt creative....mainly because all my creative materials are tucked away in a box or 20 ready for the ?????move????  I felt the need to dumf!!!  I've rummaged through some of my stash and found just enough materials to play with and was totally lost in creativeness for several hours [no twins this week as it's half term hols here so was determined to use my time well].  What wonderful therapy it was too....now all I need to do is the machine embroidery on it all and maybe a few tiny beads and who knows there just might be a set of cards to show you soon.

Well folks, that's it from me for today.  Short and sweet just how the boss likes it.  I want to get round a few desks now so will love you and leave you.  Have a wonderful day celebrating our amazing blogging bunch.

This week's smiles....week 70

Here we are at another Friday when I post my smiles to share with you all.  So many of you joined in the fun last week and even more left me really wonderful comments.  Thanks so much to you all.  Your help and support through this house moving fiasco has been really appreciated.

This week I'm featuring Sylvia's fab post about about Grandma's apron....it brought back so many wonderful memories......How ever did we survive?  :-)

It's been a manic sort of week for me with two days with two poorly twinnie munchkins needing lots of extra cuddles, the busiest week I've had since week before Christmas with customers flooding in over my doorstep with sewing jobs and of course the little matter of all you have to do and organise a house sale....if anyone has and spare hours in their day could I use what you don't need please?

My smile for this week was sent to me to make me laugh...it worked so I'm sharing it with you :-)

I hope it worked :-)  Please share your smiles of this week by linking them below.

WOYWW....

Hello to all my wonderful blogging friends.  So many of you joined in with my Friday's happy post this week and many more left me really special comments....trust me when I say I really do appreciate all your love and support....hopefully the house moving saga will be coming to the end soon so I have been working hard to finish the second stress busting, knitted quilt this week....

The finished one is on the back of the chair and the second one just needs the last little bit of purple border doing to finish it.....I've really had enough stress to last me a while so am hopeful this time our sale goes through uneventfully.

I had my little twinnie munchkins yesterday and have them again today so have no more crafty pics to show you this week.  They are both full up with really miserable chesty colds so we have had lots of cuddles and many quiet times with...

Lexi is putting the spots on the ladybird on one of the quiet book pages I made for them.....they all get lots of playing with so every minute making them was well spent.

Sam loves his jigsaws and has spent hours doing them over and over again.

They both know almost all their letters so jigsaws become real fun searching out their favourites...Here's Lexi showing you J for Josie jack-in-the-box :-)

I bought several of these scribble travel toys for £1 each and I have to say they have been the best money spent....all 5 of my grandies love them and here is Sam showing off the octopus he's just drawn.

As you can see we have really fun days with all sorts of activities and my desk today will be full of more of the same as they are here for an extra day this week.
If you leave me a little hello message I will pay you a visit either later today or tomorrow depending on how exhausted I am after playing :-)

Hugs,
Annie x

This week's smiles....week 69

Phew! What a week it's been.

We had some really fab posts linked up last week so many thanks to all that joined in the fun.  This week I'm featuring Laura's fab pic of her sparrowhawk that found it's way onto a page in the Mid Sussex Times.  Thanks for sharing it with us Laura and huge congrats to you.

So folks what has made me smile this week?.....now where do I start?

It could be the little matter that yesterday morning I sold the house and bought a bungalow.  :-)  As you can imagine I'm not getting too excited til we actually have the keys in our hands this time but I know it's the news so many of you wonderful blogging friends out there has been waiting for.

Or it could be that Wednesday evening we picked this little run about up for me from the garage...

It's a little blue Citroen C3 but as you can see it has flowers on the back and on the back window it says...Powered by Fairy dust.  It's certainly made me smile and of course has put a smile on the faces of my little Grandchildren.  :-)

Or of course it could be this latest pic Shell sent me of Lexi.....that girl sure has attitude  :-)
I think she may be on the stage one day and as last Saturday she went to her first ballet class and really loved it I wouldn't be surprised by anything.

As you can imagine it's been quite a week for us....I'm a little stunned as yet with all that's happened but am sure it will all sink in soon.  :-)  :-)  :-)
If you have something that has made you smile this week please link it up below and share it with us.

WOYWW.....

Hello fellow bloggers.  Another week has passed and it's been another nail biting, stress busting, knitting week for me.  We had another viewing last Saturday that seemed to go very well and yesterday we had positive feedback so are keeping everything crossed that they come back with an offer for the house.....something good has got to happen soon....doesn't it?

So what I have to show you this week is....

The progress of the second quilty blanket....I've decided where the squares will go and have started to crochet them together before crocheting the border to match the other blanket.

I have now knit 10 squares in the gorgeous turquoise wool and have bought a pretty flecked wool to match plus some pretty pale creamy yellow to go with it.....don't you think this will make a pretty baby cot blanket?

Well folks that's about all from me creatively for this week cos I have been busy looking after those twinnie munchkins for an extra day this week while their other Granddad is in hospital with Pneumonia....get well soon Alan.  Thanks for calling by.  I will do my best to pay you a return visit when I can if you leave me a little hello message to let me know you've called in.
Hugs,
Annie x

This week's smiles......week 68

Another week has passed....where does the time go?

Thanks to all who joined in the fun last week and to those who left me really lovely comments.  I really do appreciate all your love and support.

I would like to welcome Chris over at Teddy Wares and Flutterbies and feature her blog this week with her gorgeous photos of Eden and the gorgeous quilt she made for her.  Thanks for sharing those with us Chris and welcome to the party :-)

I have a photo of our little granddaughter Lulu to share this week.....

Here she is giving me the thumbs up while she is trying on her new school dress all ready for her taster days coming up next month.  It really only seems 5 minutes since I was posting similar photos of her sister a year ago when she started.
Lulu is a real little character and has already told us she will be wearing a red dress...cos she likes red best!....even though the uniform is purple as you can see.  :-)

The other pics I'm sharing today are of a really fun day out we had at Chirk Castle last weekend with the twins and their mummy.
It included lots of giggles when Granddad showed the twins how to roll down the grassy banks there and we do have video evidence but blogger wouldn't let me upload them to share the giggles with you.

I hope you have enjoyed my smiles this week and will upload your own pics and link them below to share them with us.  Thanks again for joining in the fun.

WOYWW ....and ATC swap.....

As those that join in the Wednesday fun will know we are coming up to our 5th year birthday celebrations....If you want to know the details click on this link to Julia's wonderful instructions.
I usually offer a swap to any that would like to swap with me as well as the one after me on the list on the day and this year is no different.  I've made my ATCs well in advance this year and will be putting them ready to post so if you'd like to swap with me please leave me your name here in the comments and email me your details to wipso@toucansurf.com........I'm getting excited already :-)

This week has found me needing more stress busting knitting...

Yep....I'm up to 9 already!!!
Our lovely little bungalow that we made plans for, invested a lot of time, money [we will have to pay solicitors for all the searches etc now!] and emotions on  [and bought new settees and curtains for] has now been sold.  :-(
Our buyers still haven't got their mortgage :-(
It's no fun having to trust strangers when you come to buying and selling of houses.

These two rather old chair throws needed my love and attention this week....they needed careful darning as they were starting to fall apart and their owner wanted to have them dry cleaned.....what with these and the horse blankets of last week [check out the mad masked woman in the prev post if you want a giggle!] I certainly have a varied job.....no two days are the same!!

And finally I am leaving you with some pics from our garden that have kept me smiling this week.  The Lilac smells amazing [that is a full sized shed next to the light purple lilac so you can see just how big it is!] and the Wisteria will be in full bloom soon and looks simply stunning......Enjoy.  :-)

If you leave me a little hello comment I will do my best to pop over to yours to say hi when I get a free moment.  :-)  Don't forget to email me with your details if you'd like to swap ATCs with me this year.
Hugs,
Annie

This weeks's smiles...week 67

Hi folks.  As ever there is always so much to smile about in my world and it seems there were many able to share their happy posts last week....it's so lovely to have so many of you joining in the fun by linking up and sharing what is making you smile...thanks so much to each and every one of you.

This week I'm featuring Elizabeth's post....it was such a lovely pic of her daughter and her hubby celebrating their silver wedding anniversary and that photo of the little fishy face at the end just made me chuckle cos it's a face I pull and try to get my grandies to copy...so many giggles have been shared with them trying  :-)  Thanks for sharing them Elizabeth and thanks to Rhian for such a fab fishy face :-)

This week I'm sharing lots....

These gorgeous pics of Amy's happy three....don't you just love the black and white effects?

My 'little' boy [he's only 26 but will always be my little boy lol] with Shell's little boy....they are chilling out watching Frozen together.....they are such good friends.

Sam is making sure he gets the very last drop of the milk at breakfast time!  :-)

Lexi is having a snuggle with Bobby Bear and is telling him a story :-)

This box used to be full of duplo but now it's just full of love....and the last little duplo dog that she found in the box!  :-)

Now if those didn't get you smiling I'm sure this one will!!  I am all masked up to do major repairs on a horse blanket!!.  It's what you do when you're allergic to horses....and I still ended up with itchy eyes and a tickly throat!  Just thought you'd like a giggle at my expense  :-)

There you go....I've shown you mine now you show me yours  :-)  Link up your happy posts below and I will be over to see what you've been up to this week.

Hugs,
Annie x
